Wallcover is our collection of wall coverings for any contract space. In addition to high-definition printing, easy installation, and the use of ecological inks, it is very important to mention that they are completely fireproof, fire retardant, and comply with the strictest certificates.
We'll tell you a bit more about the certificates we hold, so you can be sure that any of our designs are one hundred percent safe.
What is the EN 13501-1 certificate?
In this case, we are talking about a fundamental regulation in Europe for the fire classification of construction and decoration materials. To obtain the certificate, in this case, the wall covering has had to respond adequately to several parameters: flame spread, heat generation, fire development rate, and smoke emission.
This certificate guarantees that our coverings can be installed in restaurants, contract spaces, or hotels with maximum safety.
At the same time, there are different classification levels under the EN 13501-1 standard; all Wallcover models and finishes amply comply, but we share the general levels with you.
- Class A1: Non-combustible products.
- Class A2: Products with very limited contribution to fire.
- Class B: Products with low flame spread.
- Class C: Products with moderate flame spread.
- Class D: Products with limited flame spread.
- Class E: Products with significant flame spread.
- Class F: Products with high flame spread.
In the case of Wallcover and the recommendation for contract spaces or public areas is to choose a Class B or higher. This means that if a fire occurs in a room or building, there will be very low flame spread, so the incident can be controlled quickly.
