The RIU hotel is located in front of the Maspalomas Dunes, one of Gran Canaria's most iconic sights. After five months of renovation, in which Comersan was an active part of all areas, it has reopened and reservations are constant. The hotel managers comment that the continuous search for natural light, you will see what a fundamental role the curtains play, and the earthy colors of the archipelago are the core of the design work.
If you want to see the new areas of this five-star hotel, designed only for adults, don't miss any of the images...
Common areas, from the lobby to the restaurant
It is always a pleasure to participate in the renovation of a hotel, even more so when we are talking about a unique place like the RIU Maspalomas. In this case, the entrance maintains its traditional aesthetic, but with important new features such as the curtains that cover the large windows. The importance of capturing the island's light is solved with two large drapes that impress with their height.

Similarly, in the restaurant, we covered the large windows with blinds in earthy tones. This way, the site is protected from light, the views of the mythical beach are preserved, and a more comfortable atmosphere is created.

Finally, speaking of the common areas, it is important to mention the upholstered pillars. A completely exclusive work designed for this project. By developing the entire design, manufacturing, and installation process in contract, we can face any challenge.
The rooms, the heart of the hotel
Although the common areas are very important, the bedrooms are the central part of any hotel. In earthy and ocher tones, reminiscent of the dunes at sunset or the typical colors of Gran Canaria, we find the rooms.
A unique design where Comersan has installed curtains and plaids imitating wallpaper. For the curtains, a blackout fabric (Blacksan) and a sheer curtain were chosen to better control light entry and privacy.
