For months, HD Parque Cristóbal Gran Canaria has undergone a major renovation. The key was to reopen its doors with a refreshed image, practical and bright spaces. The goal is to become a benchmark on the island of Gran Canaria. Specifically, the hotel is divided into small bungalows that resemble a small village in the heart of Playa del Inglés, in the south of the island.
Comersan has been part of the entire project, paying special attention to the curtains. An element that not only dresses each room but also helps guests sleep and rest better. Below, we'll tell you all the details.
Curtains and Ultradark fabric
The hotel renovation project was carried out with IHP (International Hospitality Projects). A comprehensive studio for the construction, design, and projection of hotels worldwide. For this project, on the island of Gran Canaria, we were responsible for manufacturing all the curtains. A very special commission, which defines the decoration of the entire room.
Specifically, the Ultradark series was used in two sections, playing with three different colors: terracotta, mustard, and blue. The Ultradark fabric is unique in the world and has been entirely developed in our factory.
Specifically, this type of fabric achieves 100% darkness in the room without synthetic coatings. In fact, this allows us to eliminate light in a room while maintaining the beauty of a natural fabric drape. These curtains are combined with the Linopol IG White sheer curtain to let light in during the day.

The importance of modulating light
It is impossible to overlook the importance of light for good rest and making us feel at peace, two basic perceptions in a hotel, where we need to rest and recharge. Beyond artificial lighting, we need to evaluate natural light and how to modulate it. In the common areas of the apartments, the combination of curtains with Ultradark fabrics to block out light and Linopol sheer curtains to regulate it has also been chosen, both fabrics designed and manufactured in Comersan and completely fireproof.
